General Purpose Thinner

A paint thinner is a solvent used to reduce thickness of oil-based paints or clean up after their use. They can also be used to remove tar buildup and other compounds. Commercially, solvents labeled "paint thinner" are usually mineral spirits with a flash point at about 104°F (40°C). It is use in sprayer applicators or when simply needing a thinner mixture to work with. Because they dissolve paint they aid in removal of paint on brushes, rollers and general cleanup of spills or splatters.
